Seladore Legal has strengthened its international disputes practice with the appointment of Peter Edworthy as Partner in London, joining from Milbank.
Peter is a highly experienced disputes lawyer with a strong focus on complex international arbitration and related High Court litigation. He advises across a broad range of sectors, with particular depth in energy, infrastructure, construction, and technology-driven disputes, and has acted in proceedings under all major arbitral rules. He also has significant experience of alternative forms of dispute resolution, including mediation, adjudication, and expert determination.
Peter is recommended in The Legal 500 for international arbitration and is an accredited member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
Simon Bushell, Founder and Senior Partner of Seladore Legal, commented:
“Peter is an exceptional disputes lawyer with deep experience in international arbitration and complex commercial litigation. He brings real technical strength, sound judgement and a thoughtful, commercial approach, all of which align closely with how we work as a firm. We are delighted to welcome him to the partnership and look forward to building with him.”
Peter Edworthy, Partner at Seladore Legal, said:
“Seladore has built an outstanding reputation for its work on complex international disputes, and I have been consistently impressed by the quality, ambition, and intellectual rigour of the team. The firm’s focus on high-value, strategically important matters and its collaborative approach are a strong fit for my practice, and I am very much looking forward to working with Simon and the wider partnership.”
Peter’s arrival comes shortly after the arrival of David Gilmore as Partner at Seladore Legal at the start of January, formerly Head of Dispute Resolution in Herbert Smith Freehills’ Tokyo office.
