Luke has experience acting for government entities, large financial institutions and high-net-worth individuals in complex commercial disputes.
Before joining Seladore, Luke has worked in the litigation team at a major New Zealand firm as well as for a specialist disputes firm focussing on competition and public law litigation. At these firms Luke advised on a range of matters including competition, shareholder, and insurance disputes, as well as general corporate disputes.
Prior to that, Luke spent two years as a judges’ clerk at the High Court of New Zealand.
Luke graduated from the University of Auckland with a BA LLB and was enrolled as a barrister and solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand in 2022.
- Acting for a government housing agency facing allegations of anti-competitive conduct (Winton Land Limited v Kāinga Ora-Homes and Communities [2024] NZHC 2768).
- Acting for a shareholder in proceedings against a co-shareholder and director for breach of trust and fraud.
- Acting for a finance company facing allegations of misleading and deceptive conduct, and in parallel proceedings against the guarantors of a loan.
