International Arbitration
Seladore Legal’s international arbitration practice is defined by its deep expertise and strategic approach to complex, high-value commercial disputes.
We act under all major arbitral rules, including those of the LCIA, ICC, ICSID, DIAC, ICDR, UNCITRAL, SIAC, AAA, and Swiss Arbitration Centre, representing corporates, sovereign states, and investors in industries such as telecommunications, energy, infrastructure, and finance. Our global experience is particularly strong in relation to Europe, Eurasia, and the Middle East.
Our team excels in handling a wide range of arbitration matters, including commercial disputes involving joint ventures, cross-border transactions, and valuable assets. We are particularly experienced in resolving disputes stemming from partnership breakdowns in joint ventures and infrastructure projects, as well as addressing challenges arising from complex regulatory and licensing frameworks.
We are adept at addressing complex procedural and jurisdictional issues, managing high-value claims and counterclaims, and working with eminent arbitral tribunals on cases involving equitable remedies, intricate damages inquiries, and procedural challenges.
Seladore has extensive experience in arbitration-related litigation, including challenges to and enforcement of awards, securing freezing orders, and managing ancillary proceedings in support of arbitration. Our litigation expertise in complex commercial disputes complements our arbitration practice, allowing us to provide seamless representation at all stages of the dispute resolution process.
We have substantial experience in investor-state disputes, including advising on claims for expropriation, regulatory overreach, and breaches of international investment treaties. These cases often involve high-value claims against governments and require a nuanced understanding of public international law, bilateral investment treaties, and sector-specific regulatory frameworks. Our work in this area has included acting for clients in politically sensitive disputes, where commercial and diplomatic considerations must be carefully balanced to achieve favourable results.
